Has the old Source Linker now been turned off?
The toggle button allowing you to switch between the Old Source Linker and the New Source Linker doesn't seem to be working or has been turned off. When I click "Back to Old Source Linker", it attempts to go back to it, but then reverts right back to the New Source Linker.
It wasn't working, earlier today, but now it is! Do we know when the Old Source Linker is expected to be turned off?

@CSM100 You'll want to join the New Source Linker Feedback group.
I just checked and was able to change from New to Old and back again.

You can toggle back, but in a few seconds it'll force-reload the new browser. (At least that was the behavior a minute or two ago.)
A link to this group should be part of the message saying the switch happened. Why make it harder for users to find where they can... give the stunningly positive feedback I'm sure everyone has.

I opened a tab to the old source linker (Firefox, Windows 10, both fully updated). It has now been in old for 6 minutes with no force-reload to new.

I was dissapointed to see that this trial software was made mandatory today, especially since I found that it has not yet been made to work properly. I attempted to add a reason to a linked record and it did not get added. Looking at the comments in "New Source Linker feedback" it is clear that this issue was reported a long time ago. I would prefer to have the working source linker reinstated until such time that the new version can be shown to work properly.

@Sue Ramen I just verified again that I can switch back and forth between old and new source linkers, on both Chrome and Firefox, Windows 10, all fully updated.
There was a glitch a few weeks ago where some people were unable to switch between the two versions, but I believe that was fixed.
I would recommend you join and post in the New Source Linker Feedback group if you are having problems.

I appreciate your input, but I don't see how it helps.

I'm sorry you did not find my comments helpful, @Sue Ramen. You said you were
dissapointed to see that this trial software was made mandatory today
I tried to show you that, as far I as can see, it has not been made mandatory. And I gave you an option to discuss any issues, directly with the developers/engineers.
Best of luck with your research.

I looked into that group, it seems that there's a lot of stuff going on, but nothing that helped. So I looked at the past comments about the source linker and saw that the "BACK TO OLD SOURCE LINKER" part that was shown in a picture that you posted was missing, see https://us.v-cdn.net/6032564/uploads/WXNILAQNVBOS/image.png
so I had to call for help from a friend. She had to change the privacy and security settings to what she called "insanely dangerous" before this thing appeared. Something to do with crossing site boundaries and third parties. When I clicked on it I was able to get back to normal mode. After that the previous privacy and security settings were restored and the normal linker was still available. ** I shouldn't have to do this **
In my earlier comment when I used 'mandatory' I meant just that. I was not given an option to try the new linker, it was forced on me. In my world that's mandatory and it tells me that whoever made it happen has too much power and not enough thought. Before I was just disappointed. Now I'm annoyed. What's the next new big idea going to break ?

I'm so sorry you're annoyed. Take a break. Take a walk. I tried to help. You're welcome.
