US—City Directories, 1902–1935 [Part B][MQN7-ZV6] - What if I can't finish batch?

I am currently indexing the above batch, I have completed 600+ entries from two pages. I still have another 4 big columns to index and I doubt I'll be able to finish it by 22 February as required.

Is it possible to get an extension on the finish date? I'm a relatively new indexer and have never had this issue before.

Thanks in advance.

Extensions are not allowed. If you think you won't finish it, just return the batch.

Do you get credit for the number of names you did index? Or do they all go to the person who completes the batch?

That goes to the person that completes the batch.

Do you index all duplicate names? My indexer has skipped all duplicates. Thanks!

From the Project Instructions/What To Remember About This Project:

Index each unique name. Some names may be duplicated. When names are exact duplicates, meaning that all required fields are the same, index only the first instance of the name listed. Skip the other exact duplicates and then index the next unique name. Unique names include names with different middle initials and different name spellings or where the other required fields are different.

I have said this before, but I'll say it again: Reading the Project Instructions, in both Indexing and Reviewing, will solve 90% of questions. The PI can be found at the end of each entry, when you pull up a new-to-you project or by the last button on the toolbar.
