@YanVainter have you looked at the Bessarabia Vital Records Database? I hope this resource is helpful to you.

Thanks Linda but I'm familiar with this resource .

I'm looking for this microfilm and hoping that Familysearch might have it.

I don't know if others feel the same, but your microfilm reference if not of much use in terms of FamilySearch's holdings. It would be better to tell us what period it covers, as I found copying NARM/211/30 into a Google search brought no results, either.

The page at https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/246716?availability=Family%20History%20Library lists FamilySearch's holdings for Bessarabia birth records.

The source of this reference is Jewishgen as you can see below , the original is in National Archive of the Republic of Moldova (NARM) , but we don't have access to it , and as in previous similar cases Familysearch had copy of it .

Were the ones that FS had copies of also straight to digital ("not microfilmed")?

@YanVainter at the bottom of the page that @Paul W shared https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/246716?availability=Family%20History%20Library it states the following:

Reasons why microfilms may not yet be available digitally on FamilySearch.org include:

    • The microfilm may be scheduled for future scanning.
    • The microfilm may have been scanned, but have a contractual, data privacy, or other restriction preventing access. FamilySearch makes every effort to enable access dependent on decisions of record custodians and applicable laws.

So if the microfilm is not available now, there is hope that it could be in the future.

@Linda Thurson Galloway, that message is many years out of date at this point. Everything held by FamilySearch on microfilm has been digitized (scanned). I forget when this was announced, but I'm pretty sure it was pre-pandemic. But regardless of that, that message is irrelevant to the present question: the problem isn't inaccessible films found on FS. The problem is films not found on FS. They may be here, somewhere, but unfortunately the information from JewishGen does not make it possible to track them down.

I will apply to National archive of Moldova and check with them.

    Thanks

Especially for something that may have gone straight to digitization, you should check in the Search > Images section. In this case, the following link should take you to all the record images that we have which are held by the National Archive of Moldova. You'll have to search through this list to see if the information you need is included. If we have it, it should be there somewhere. https://www.familysearch.org/records/images/beta/search-results?custodian=Arhiva%20Nat%CC%A6ionala%CC%86%20a%20Republicii%20Moldovei

@YanVainter, I didn't say anything earlier until I had a chance to verify what I was seeing. Those jpgs listed in the last column of your screenshot are indeed links to the actual images of the records. So, I'm curious what exactly you are looking for?
