I believe this used to work correctly

when select 'Ancestry'

for this person:

this is part of the page that comes up

notice the second child's first name is in the last name position, and no other children are listed

That appears to be a bug. No matter how many children a person has, when you click Ancestry for any person on the tree, the first child is the only one properly displayed, and the second child is squished into the last name field. What you aren't showing, is that no more children will populate.

Since these are Ancestry pages you are looking at, you may also want to work with them. The problem could be on either end.

@Wayland K Adams I doubt it. It's FamilySearch that is filling the Ancestry search criteria fields. See my screenshot of an Ancestry search on the same person in both FamilySearch and my tree in Ancestry. This is a family of 8 children in both systems. When I click Search Ancestry in both systems, note the difference with the children.

FamilySearch's code to populate children breaks at the second child, which it stuffs in the surname of the first child and then no more children are listed. See how it should look on the right, which works correctly within Ancestry. There is no doubt FamilySearch is sending buggy search criteria to Ancestry. Hopefully it's an easy fix.
