how do I connect to another family members tree

FamilySearch is a world-wide collaborative tree. All deceased persons are in this public tree that all users can access and view - including your family members. You and each of your family members have within their own account a private space where the profiles of all the living relatives they have added to their accounts exist. These profiles cannot be shared with other accounts. They are private to the account holder.
Coming this year will be a new feature called Family Group Trees that will allow living family members to create a family group and a private tree containing living profiles. When this happens, you will be able to connect more simply with your living family members to view profiles for each other.
