Illinois Records Search is Impossible for the area I need. Need help desperately 1850-1905
Richwoods Precinct, Calhoun County, Gillead Precinct, Hardin Illinois where do I need to look due to the latest update they cannot be found. I need help where are the records, any search I perform I continuously get no records to be found, area does not exist. Well sure it does but not according to search, is there a different bulk name, Calhoun County was part of Pike originally. Be it the old version or the new version, is there an index to for the batch-records or something special with the number groups if they have not been indexed yet?

It would help to know what kind of records you are looking for - vital, census, property? A quick keyword search for Calhoun Illinois returns a sizable list of variety of records. https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&query=%2Bkeywords%3Acalhoun%20%2Bkeywords%3Aillinois
And you might post in the relevant group where other Illinois researchers are ready and willing to help.
Best of luck with your search.

Marriage is one, Baptism is another Death records. I would like to see the records, not just accept what information is provided in text translated form. " Sitton Cemetery" records of any kind, other than what is on Find A Grave. I had read that it was also maybe called "Old Lady Chism's" I know thats a little bit different catagory, it is located in Batchtown, no GPS thou. My family is all from that area, and knowing the information is due to the times somewhat of an outline.

Many Illinois records have been indexed, but the contract with the record holder(s) limits access to the images to FamilySearch Centers and/or Affiliate Libraries. You can find the nearest using the Center Locator.

It might be more along the lines of the actual documents be it an index even with the date noted. Susan M Russell her father died, she is listed in the will, along with her sisters, Martha, Margaret and Louisa wife listed a Susan Reed, I cant find that anywhere he died in 1855. I have seen the record with my own eyes, It exists he had be brought to court in a suit against him as well.

You could check Search>Images, but the Wiki for Calhoun County says that death records started about 1877.

I would like to personally thank everyone for your responses they are very helpful suggestions are excellent but I believe I have posed my question not to the wrong board so to speak but I have not stated it correctly would be more like it it is not always convenient to find a local family search center to walk into thereupon lies the big problem I have called and spoken with people directly at LDS some helpful answers from there as well and some with the answer of yeah we've had a little glitch in that area so when more people leave feedback about it the address it. Again thank you everyone I appreciate all of your input given.
