Indexing prefixes

I am indexing US—City Directories, 1866–1940.

Would I index the prefix such as "pres" or "v-pres" (President or Vice President) in this field? Or is Family Search just looking for prefixes such as "Mrs" "Miss" "Mr"? The help button for this field only seems to indicate indexing the latter.

If a directory mentions a name and then lists them as the president or vice president of some sort (such as a president of a company), would I index it in that prefix field, or not? Just need some clarity,

Thanks!

You will index Mr/Mrs/Miss and the like only. Things like "pres" are job titles and they are not indexed.
