Notification info
When I got a notification of my parent’s anniversary, the posted age of my father at the time of his marriage to my mother was actually his age at his first marriage. This is confusing to anyone else since he was 25 when he married my mother, not 22 as posted.
I was told that entering the divorce date of the first marriage would remedy the problem but it didn’t since the divorce date had been entered seven months prior to my receiving the notification.
Someone needs to check a little more carefully when they post this stuff in “Notifications”.
Posting a marriage age from a previous marriage while posting a notice of the anniversary of the second marriage is misleading without an explanation and totally bogus.
Thanks for notifying your staff in advance for not putting age of prior marriages in notifications. There is no point for doing that.

P.S. And on that note, please don’t send me a notification me of his first marriage. They divorced because she cheated on him.

The messages are sent by a computer program, it's merely spitting out some random information in the tree. It could theoretically be reprogrammed to have a better grasp of dates, but the same program would still apply to everybody, and not everyone would object to receiving a notification about their father's first marriage.
