Search records
When I search records on a film number and I just want birth, christening, etc of persons, how can I ensure only the person is shown on the left and the parents, i.e. father and mother on the right. Right now the first half of the search show the father and mother and thereafter a spouse and child is shown on the right. If I download the excel sheet, it duplicates all the records.

Short Answer: You cannot.
.
What you get on the "Right" are ONLY suggestions/possibilities that MAY Match your Search Request - that is all, nothing more, nothing less ...
.
I am just thankful if I get suggestions/possibilities that MAY Match my Search Request, I have MANY instances where there were NO suggestions/possibilities that even Matched my Search Request.
.
I cannot comment on "Exporting" a Search Request to a CSV or Spreadsheet File; as, I have NOT tried to do so.
.
I know that this does not help; but, I hope that it puts into some perspective.

Thank you Brett. I refer in general to the people on a specific film. I know I can only see 5000 people at a time and can also download 5000 people at a time. With al the duplication, I waste a lot of air time and with the expensive data in South Africa it is something you do not want to do.
It should be very easy to just get the child on the left and parents on the right during this search process and not get first the child on the left, the the one parent and then the other parent.
Again, in South Africa, you want to save data and computer up time.
I appreciate all the millions of hours spend to digitise the records and make it available to us all.
Keep up the great work FamilySearch, there are churches in South Africa who are still reluctant to make their records available to the world.
I want to make as many records available to decendants of the progetinors to South Africa, whether in doc, excel or database to work off-line.
Regards
Herman
