US City directories--Indexing columns

What is the protocol for the reviewer when the indexer has not indexed the left column from top to bottom and then right column from top to bottom? The indexer has jumped back and forth from left column to right column.

Do I let it go as is or correct all entries, which would basically be re-indexing it?
