Record from outside Familysearch
I have tried the Help section with this question, but nothing seems to pertain. If I find a record that was found outside of Familysearch, can it be attached to a person in Familysearch? If it can, could someone direc t me to where I might find that topic covered in Familysearch Help?
THANKS

@Steve Schell There is also a free browser extension, RecordSeek, which can simplify the process of adding an outside source to the FSFT.
Just a reminder, if the record you're attaching is from a paid website, others will not be able to see what you've added unless they also have a subscription.

Elaborating a bit on Áine's comment about paywalled sources: check whether the site offers any sort of "sharing link" (i.e., one that's viewable without payment), and either way, write a thorough and careful summary or transcription in the Notes/Description field of the source on FS.
(Full summaries or transcriptions are a good idea regardless, even for sources where the image is [currently] freely available, even on FS: contracts change and websites die all the time. For critical pieces of evidence, or if the reading of the source is in question, it may be worth investigating the providing site's policy on screenshots or posting of image downloads.)

Thanks, Amy! I don’t know why that didn’t show when I searched Help. Thanks for the prompt help!
