US—Mortality Schedules - age with two numbers
For the mortality schedule age column, i'm seeing entries with a number a line then a second number underneath like a 10, 12, or a 30, like a fraction would look. Anybody know if this represents a month number on top and number of years age on bottom? or other age indication? Thanks!

If the age was less than one year, then it’s the age in months expressed as a fraction of a year. For example, 3/12 would be three months. If less than one month, it’s the age in days. At least that’s what the instructions for enumerators said for the 1880 census.

@Jay Heber Alldredge Yes, that is a fraction as @EricShelton explains for either months in a year or days in a month example 12/30 is 12 days and 2/12 is 2 months. Index either/both as Zero, like this -0- 😎
