Another one of these where the system says they are in different trees.

LXD1-2XD and L85B-FWM

The LXD1-2XD is the problem. It is marked confidential even though it was labeled as Deceased when I saw it. I did add the gender because the sex was listed as unknown and I added the death date to the blank death field. But it still shows as confidential. Is this a known problem in tree?

Hi Robert - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and asking your question about merging two profiles. You are correct that LXD1-2XD is marked as confidential. Confidential persons can be either living or deceased. Confidential persons are in your private space meaning you are the only one that can see the confidential person. No one else can see this confidential person. There are several reasons why people get marked as confidential. It is not obvious why this person, Minnie M Markel was marked confidential. Since this person is in your private space, you are allowed to delete the person. Go the person page, details tab, down to the tools box on the right and you will find the option to delete. If you do delete this person, just make sure the other profile, L85B-FWM, is as correct as possible in every detail. Hope this helps.

Oy, sounds like the bot that goes around marking profiles confidential had an aneurysm, because it looks like Minnie May spent her entire life in York county, Pennsylvania, and that's nowhere near the part of the world that FS has its weird ideas about.

@Wayland K Adams - Thank you I did delete the record but I am surprised an Admin didn't just change the record into the Public Space like another record I posted earlier that was changed to Public. Oh well - the problem is solved. Thanks.

Yes, that could have been done and then you would merge it. Now you have a way to handle the situation without involving others.
