How do I get access to my posted (sent) discussions? My goal is to re-post a discussion that hasn't been answered yet. Right now, I can only see what I sent when someone comments.

When I click on my discussions and try to open one, the response is "You don't have permission to do this." So it's a permission thing but how do I change this?

Thank you so much for your help.

Tammi

@Tammi954 Just to the right of this post is a list of Quick Links. Under that is "My Discussions." Are you saying if you access that link, you get a permission error? I don't get a Permission error when I access my list of Discussions.

A word of caution - the Community Code of Conduct includes, in the list of things that are not acceptable, Thread bumping (posting with the purpose of bringing the thread to the top), posting the same comments in multiple discussions, or repetitive comments.

I can think of two possibilities: either you've gotten signed out, or a mod has moved stuff around.

Try this: at the top right, click the gray circle thingy. You should get a drop-down that has your username below a bigger gray circle thingy, and some other stuff below that.

Click your username to go to your Community profile page. On the right, below an even bigger gray circle thingy, there's a list of things, the bottom two of which are "Discussions" and "Comments".

(You'll have different numbers, of course.) Click on "Discussions" to get a list of the discussions you've started (including those in a Group), and on Comments to get a list of the comments you've added to other people's discussions. Both lists are in reverse chronological order by most recent activity, and both hide their content behind umpteen-zillion Goodreads-style "More" links.

Perfect! Thank you, Julia. I found my way! It looks like lots of people have viewed the marriage record, but no one has yet translated it. It's been posted for at least a week. Thanks again! Tammi

If your question sits for a week or two without an answer, you can comment on it or repost it. Neither counts as thread bumping. If you repost as a new question, please comment on the original that it was reposted and give the new discussion link.
