Printing multiple ordinances
I was just printing off some names for my temple trip tomorrow. It would be helpful to be able to print off more than one ordinance at a time from ordinances ready. For example, I am doing initiatory and also an endowment. These ordinances could be printed off on two pieces of paper but since I have to select each ordinance separately I had to use three pieces of paper.
In addition, it would be great to be able to print ordinances for more than one gender on the same paper from ordinances ready--an endowment for me and an endowment for my husband.
I know this is possible if printing just from reservation lists but not from ordinances ready.
It's not an extreme inconvenience, but something that could maybe be improved. Thank you for all your work on the site, it's great!
Thanks

The work around for this is pretty simple and only adds about a minute or two to the process.
Starting here at my reservation list:
I go to Ordinances Ready:
I click a button to generate a list of people and then see this button.
Clicking it brings me to the Print pop up and here, instead of printing by clicking Continue, I click the Cancel button:
This takes me back to my reservation list and there are the five people Ordinances Ready found. Cancel only cancels printing, not the entire process:
I can repeat the process and request either different ordinances or people of the opposite sex to generate more people. I just can't request more of the same ordinance for the same gender. That would just present me with the names I already have:
These do all show as printed, but that is not a problem because i know I did not print them but am going to print them right away anyway here from my reservation list.
This particular example of printing five cards then five cards vs. printing ten cards doesn't actually save any paper but your examples would end up being printed on fewer papers.

I print a name to do their temple work and let's say I will being doing the baptism, confirmation, initiatory, and endowment ordinances. I have to print that person's name 3 times. Once for baptism and confirmation, once for initiatory, and once for endowment. Currently I can only print three people's name to a sheet of 8x11 paper. I am proposing that you reduce the margins on an 8x11 sheet of paper and make it double column so there will be a reduction of wasted space and papers where 6 names could be printed. This would be helpful again to only have to use 1 sheet of paper for baptism and confirmation, 1 sheet of paper for initiatories, and 1 sheet of paper for endowments.
Further, if we redesign the ordinance card then there could be even more space to print more names. For instance, if I am doing initiatories, does it matter that the endowment and sealing box is on their card. No because those ordinances haven't been done. I only need to see the baptism and confirmation date and a blank box for the initiatory to be checked off. Could the bar code be placed in a different location to conserve space? With the option to remove the patron's name and address we could go to a box shaped card instead of a rectangular shaped card.
I am thinking of those days in the baptistry when you would have 5 names to a half sheet of paper. There was only the very necessary stuff on the card to do the ordinance. Or when you walk in the booth before the endowment session and you did not have a name to do so the temple worker handed you a little strip of paper with the name of the deceased person on it and a birth or death date. It appears the temples have the capability to do that in the past. Can that be brought to the patron's?
