Time to Index a City Directory

My question is about the time allowed to index a batch for a city directory. I started a batch on Saturday (1/20). Over the next three days, I completed three fourths of it. I signed in this morning (1/23) to finish it, only to discover it was no longer available: "The batch US—City Directories, 1866–1940 [Part A] has expired. Please check out another batch."

The instructions said I would have seven days to complete the batch, so I thought I would be fine. "You will have 7 days to complete indexing of the batch, and then you can download another batch. If you do not complete the batch within the 7-day period, it will be removed from your computer."

Are the instructions incorrect / obsolete? I hesitate to start another directory batch, not knowing for sure how long I'll have to complete it.

Thanks for clarifying this for me.

They just changed the time to only 3 days, and they changed the number you can check out to 9. What a shame that they didn't let those who had some already checked out keep them.

Ah well. Now I know. Thanks for explaining the change; I hope they update the project instructions as well!
