What do I do if I simply cannot index the documents in one of my batches?

You will return the batch, but do not mark it as No, No Extractable Data.

@mcfarlandcecilemarie1 Please give the batch code with your question. the batch code is found in brackets after the project title; like this example: US, Connecticut—Naturalization Records, 1841–1945 [MQXN-YCB] Hold the batch in your queue and allow time (usually 24-48 hours) for someone to see your question. Then that person can Comment to provide possible help/answers. Best wishes with your indexing efforts.😎

We don't actually need a shared batch to explain about returning batches. If you get a batch that's not in a language you know, or is simply proving too difficult, or whatever other reason you have for not doing it, then you can simply click "Batch" at the top left and choose "Return Batch" from the drop-down.
The batch will be returned to the queue, and you're free to get another -- from the same project or from a different one. On the Slovakia church books project that the screenshot is from, I sometimes need to go through a dozen batches before I get one that I can do.
