Do I index Wid after surname and given name assuming wid followed by name was spouse?

looking forward thru other names, they are each listed surname female name, wid male name. so the question is do I list both wife and husband?

Are these US—City Directories, 1866–1940? If so, you index the woman's name and in the spouse's given name field, index her husband. You won't index her surname as his. "Wid" is telling us that she's the widow of the man named. "Wid" is not indexed.
