Who is over indexing in our stake? Should there be a indexing specialist in our Ward?

@Dever Antoinette Castricone maybe this will help. General Handbook of Instructions Section 25

    25.3.5

    icon, guidelines for adaptation

Stake Temple and Family History Consultants

Stake temple and family history consultants support temple and family history work throughout the stake. They serve under the direction of the stake presidency and one or more high councilors assigned to temple and family history work.

These consultants support high councilors and the stake Relief Society presidency in their efforts to instruct others in temple and family history work (see 25.3.3 and 25.3.4). They may also be given the following assignments:

    • Help teach and support members in ward temple and family history callings.
    • Help coordinate stake indexing efforts (25.4.3).
    • Serve in FamilySearch centers (see 25.3.6).

    Thank you very much.

The answer from Rhonda was perfect. Now, I would like to know how other stakes or wards are handling Indexing.

I am the Stake family history consultants, family history center. (Director). Our stake has called a Stake Indexing couple. From what I am reading above, and I hope I am interpreting this correctly, they are to help the wards with their Indexing. That is super. Who in the ward would be leading that?

They are at a loss. They are a great couple trying to serve in the right way.

Thank you to anyone who could help me to help them.
