A complete county marriage index record was incorrectly indexed to the wrong county and wrong state. I have unsuccessfully tried to edit the original record to the correct standardized place name, but the edit page does not include a column for place name. As a result every individual record misstates the county place name. I have sent numerous FEEDBACK notes without results. Same problems for every individual in that record.

@RogerStroud Thank you for reporting the place error in the Tennessee County Marriages. We have confirmed the issue and reported it to the group that can make a correction. Unfortunately, they are a small team with a large backlog, so we cannot predict how long it will be before a correction is in place.

Can you supply the URL or a screenshot of the particular record(s)? That way we have enough info to escalate the issue.

    Thanks.

    An example of the problem.

The index is clearly Tennessee County Marriages, for Wilson County, TN. But the event place is indexed as Essex, Essex, New York. Every record has to be overwritten from Essex County, NY to Wilson County, TN

This is the page as it looks at the record linking

@N Tychonievich The issue is not the usual from placename standardization but it's in the same ballpark, I think.

The index film is 7747293, https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/823750 , access restricted to AL and FSC. The search results for that film all seem to have been converted to New York. For example: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2ZS-6NQF Could you please put this one on your burgeoning list? Thanks!
