Reviewing batches that didn't meet project instructions - Image Name 007719711_00188 Batch ID MQXL-R
I was reviewing some marriage record indexing. The project instructions are: "Index each line on the marriage register if it contains a name of a male, female, and a date." This batch is an index that shows only groom names on the left page and the bride names on the right page. But they are not couples.
The list of grooms were indexed separately with the fields for the bride as blank . Similarly, the indexer made an entry for each bride and left the groom name fields blank.
I'm unsure if I should select NO, No extractable data - because there is data - just not what the project instructions are asking for.

The instructions for this project changed just this week. The indexer was following the best interpretation anyone could manage of the instructions that were available at the time he was doing that batch.
By the current instructions, I think such index pages are indeed NED.

It is unfortunate though since having that information could provide clues for someone searching through it.

Not to worry. The marriages for these people will be found. This type of index gives little information. There will be other marriage records in Family Search for these people that include their spouses, and other information.
