US—County Marriage Records, 1893–1993 [MQXL-5W9]

In the marriage records I came across an "Index to Marriage Record" with the name of the female

and the "Name of Affiant". The Affiant is the person who consents to the marriage and not the groom. Do I index that name in the Male's sections?

    No. Affiants are witnesses to a marriage, not participants.
