More robust/advanced event-editing tools
It would be helpful if FamilySearch's event-editing tools were more robust, allowing for operations like changing the type of an existing event, or merging multiple events together.
As an example for the use of changing an event's type: I have found some people in my personal tree that were added by other users before me who have events like their immigration entered in as a custom event with a strange title, I'm thinking this is probably a botched GEDCOM import or something? It'd just be more convenient in instances like these to be able to change the event type and keep the data and sourcing intact, rather than having to delete and remake the event from scratch, relinking all the sources by hand.
For merging events, I have some tree members with multiple sequential residency events that are meant to indicate continuous residency. I find a lot of separate residency events like this indicates some level of unsureness as to whether this was a permanent residency, or temporary with other locations perhaps in between, and a single event with a "from (ABC) to (XYZ)" date to indicate being fairly certain someone's residency was continuous. Merging here instead of deleting and editing would have the same upside as with changing event type, where the sources will be kept intact for you instead of needing to edit one event, change the date to a date range, and one-by-one add all the sources from the other events you're going to delete to the one that will remain.
