Hi all
I started reviewing these. Some have been marked as marriage and some as marriage registration for these same type documents. This is all the clarification in the instructions.
- Index Declaration and Registration of Informal Marriage records as a Marriage Registration event type. All other records with a marriage date should be indexed as Marriage event type.
Not sure which it should be. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tim

These are both marriage certificates, signed by the person who married them. Nowhere do they say "Declaration and Registration of Informal Marriage", where the parties are declaring their marriage rather than a certificate of the actual marriage. In the Project Instructions under What To Index it gives examples of the Declaration and Registration, and they will say on the form if they are a declaration and registration. Most of these records will be Marriage.

Would it help if the instruction said:
- Index "Declaration and Registration of Informal Marriage" records as a Marriage Registration event type. All other records with a marriage date should be indexed as Marriage event type.
with the quotation marks around the specific form title?
