Family Tree Maker 2019 not connecting to Familysearch

My program of FTM 2019 update 24 2.2 also does not connect to hints on www.familysearch.org
What gives, this is taking so long to "fix". Please connect with each one of the above complainers, including me, when this is finally under your control.

@Nancy Striggow The fix is in the hands of the engineers at Mackiev, producers of Family Tree Maker. As has been explained, the fix will likely be part of the updated version due out later this year.

Family tree Maker shows a blue box and green leaf
After checking the blue box, it then says no results found

@DavidKing69 The FTM issue has been discussed at great length in this thread.

Does it make a difference that every time I click the blue icon in 'Family Tree Maker' it returns with "No alternate matches found.", NOT "No matches found."???

@Ken Winschuh I believe your question needs to be asked of Mackiev on their Live Chat Support feature.

@Ken Winschuh I think that the alternate message may be a "relatively" new phenomenon. The "No matches found" did certainly occur earlier on in this saga, but I haven't seen it recently. The alternate message appears in the "Possible matches" section; from memory, the "No matches found" came above that section. As @Áine Ní Donnghaile said, this would one for Mackiev to answer.
Maybe two months ago, something strange occurred. Knowing the propensity for things to get "fixed" with only delayed publicity, I log in to FS from within FTM from time to time. On that occasion, I found that the linking was miraculously working again. I managed to get a number of profiles linked, but within hours, the linking was no longer working. It may be that this was when the message changed; I don't know. I didn't report this in this discussion, lest I give the impression that I was making stuff up (technical AI term "hallucinating").

What is so frustrating is that it works for SOME items and then not finding MOST others.
I have one tree that finds less than ~5% of the items are actually in FS even though I can manually find closer to 25%.
Another tree I had closer to 1/3 of the hints actually found.
As a (now retired) software engineer focused on quality assurance/requirements the fact that this "slipped thru" is raising more than a few eyebrows in my family groups.1
