Allow users to quickly change the order of people tagged in a Memory using "drag and drop"
My example is the obituary for Charles Raymond Wallace L2LW-QXC, where I've tagged 18 people.
I'm trying to match the order of people listed as tagged to the order they appear in a document or picture. This helps ensure that everyone is tagged, and also allows users to quickly find an individual, especially in a large group.
To accomplish this currently requires deleting tags and starting over, which is a very tedious task!
The ability to tag multiple people in a single document--18 in this case—is very helpful in tying families together. It is a tedious process, but does work.
To accomplish what I requested with the current familysearch functionality is burdensome to the point that I would never take the time to delete and re-add tags for up to 18 people.
I recommend an enhancement that would allow users to simply drag and drop to re-arrange the order, which is a tool commonly found in software today. For example, it’s very easy to re-arrange stops on Google maps.
I understand this won’t be done immediately, but would encourage you to add it to a list of user-requested enhancements to make your amazing program even better!
Take care,
Phil Bachelor

Dear Phil,
Thank you for contacting FamilySearch Support regarding changing the order of tagged people on a memory.
You can change the order of Chester and Roy in the tag list by removing the tags of Chester and Roy. Then you can re-Tag Chester, then re-tag Roy. You could reposition others the same way.
