There is a error in the place names of Richmond, Staten Island (Richmond County), New York City
Hi!
By the way, this is a very small problem.
I was trying to look up some family members in the 1950 census and they came up as living in Richmond, Ontario, New York. The image of the census record says they lived in Richmond, Richmond County, New York. Richmond County is current-day Staten Island. Image Group # 108849031 is the original document. When I searched for "Richmond, Ontario, New York" in the 1950 census, 290 image batches showed up as being from there. All the matches are mislabeled like the original. According to Wikipedia, only 659 people lived in Richmond, Ontario in 1950. From what I could find, the only 2 census documents from there are Image Group # 108848457 and 108848089. Funnily enough, those don't come up when searching "Richmond, Ontario, New York", they are just labeled as from "Ontario, New York" Can someone put me in contact with a person who can help me fix these problems? Again sorry for the world's smallest violin post.

@Theo3373 Thank you for your report of the inaccurate standardization of Richmond County, NY in the 1950 US Census. This is one that we have already sent to the group that is tasked with correcting place standardization errors. Unfortunately, they have a large backlog of issues to work on. We can't predict how long it will be before a correction is in place.

@N Tychonievich placename standardization again. I know I've reported Staten Island's transport to Ontario before. Here - https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/146051/error-placename-standardization#latest
