Tell People Why You Have Deleted an Idea
If it belongs somewhere else move it, don't just delete it.

Your Idea was not deleted. It was merged with other suggestions on the same topic. You should be able to see your post in the "Comment" section of your profile.

The "Idea" has completely gone from "My Discussions"
Where do I find the "Comment" section.
It is not obvious on any screen.

Why does the system not send a Notification for a merger movement ?

So, with perseverance I have found "My Comments". It really should not NEED perseverance.
I needed to GUESS going to "All Notifications" or clicking on the "Person" symbol or Name, will take you to "Profile". Just put a clickable "Profile" in the box!
Then you can see Comments in a List of options that includes Discussion.
Why not put Comments in "Quick Links", under My Discussions ?
You need some non-programmers and non-mods to consider usability. People too familiar with the site cannot see the failings. While the rest of us cannot find our way around to use it effectively, so don't bother.
And you probably think "things are quiet, must be doing well" when actually your users are silently screaming at the screen because you make it actively obstructive to use.
