Please do a site wide change of Monticello, Tama, Iowa, United States to Monticello, Jones, Iowa, United States and remove Monticello, Tama, Iowa, United States as a choice.

The City of Monticello and the township of Monticello have never been in Tama County, Iowa.

Jones County, Iowa was formed before Tama County, Iowa. So it was not in Tama County, Iowa first.

I have made a project of working through the Iowa, Death records, 1904-1951 DGN 101784562

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:68CR-9R8W

to change every record that involves the incorrect location, Monticello, in Tama County, Iowa, but with this New AI you are showing my corrections as secondary, when they should be primary.

If the other Monticello (the one in Tama county) is an error -- which it appears to be, as there's nothing labeled "Monticello" anywhere near its coordinates in FS's Places tool -- then you can suggest/request its removal from the database using the "Improve this place" button in said Places tool (https://www.familysearch.org/research/places/?text=Monticello,%20Iowa&focusedId=4076981).

@Annette Baker Thank you for reporting the standardization error for Monticello, Iowa. We have reported it to the team that can make corrections. Unfortunately, they have a large backlog of issues they are dealing with, so we cannot predict how long it will be before corrections are in place. We have also noted that user corrections are not working as they should in replacing the erroneous place on the record details page (the page with the indexed data).
