these were very active when new features were being designed and the designers took a lot of good feedback from users that resulted in modifications to feature.
If you have specific examples of items you have concerns with, create a post for each of them and post them here under Suggest An Idea. They will get passed on to the designers.

They need real world user feedbacks from the initial design meetings, before any mockups are created or a single line of new code is written. Because by the time the update is mature enough that they can roll out a working beta for public use, it doesn't matter whether there's a feedback forum; minor bugs and tweaks users identify might get fixed, but there's no way at that point that they're going to make major structural revisions on the mostly-complete new design or mothball the update regardless of what feedback they get in the group.
