Hi,

can I report an error in a batch I am reviewing?

(sorry I can't provide a batch identifier. It is a volume of "Bautismos" around 1953, Toro, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Colombia Catholic Church Records.)

The vertical line should be seen by the automated indexer as bounding the frame it reads from. The gutter should also be identified as a bound (I have seen some other records where it reads names from the opposite page).

Your report has been forwarded to a specialty team for review and resolution. You may be contacted by that team if they need to gather more information.

@JuanZuluaga3 I have heard back about your question. I was told:

This particular thing is working as designed and the uses are expected to do their best to fix the names as they understand them. There are future projects that will allow even more correction in better ways. This is working exactly as expected. If it were all correct we wouldn't need the app that this user is working through.

Hi Maile, please give my thanks to the person who answered back. I appreciate how these images pose very interesting problems for recognition software, and how what may work for a set of data may not work for another closely related set of data. I can also see how the FS team is working continuously to improve access, and how we are very tough customers!
