I was at Family Home Evening event for a Young Single Adult ward where we attempted to index certain documents, but found it very hard to interpret the names. A friend of mine who's experienced with using AI, took a screen shot of some of the names on the documents and put it into an AI chat box. He was able to get a few results that gave us a better idea of the name. Would it be possible to implement a kind of chat box within Family Search to do that to provide suggestions for names for us to consider as we index?

Computer assisted indexing is already taking place. For your next event, instead of classical indexing, try out the more recent "AI" indexing. Go to: https://www.familysearch.org/getinvolved/ In the How It Works section, click on the Name Review button and go to work.

@Gordon Collett I looked this up and the only country names that are available are mostly Latin/Spanish countries, the US, and Philippines. No help for other countries. I have been working in South America for over a year so this doesn't apply to Dutch, Afrikaans, German, Indian and a few other names. It would be nice!

The best way to actually interpret the names are to continue indexing the same country for months or years. Then one comes to know the usual Given and Surnames that are hard to read. Reviewers like myself don't mind correcting them.
