How do I recover my family tree on Familysearch?

Hello,

About two weeks ago, I logged into familysearch.org and realized that my family tree wasn't available. I initially thought it might be a glitch in the system but then I kept getting this message.

I moved to Saudi Arabia for work purposes but am a South African. I have been using the sight and my tree for a few months since residing in Saudi. Is there any way of getting my tree restored?

Kind regards

The details you have entered in the collaborative tree are all still there. Nothing is lost. There ARE some locations/countries where access is restricted.

They rolled out some updates to the Tree section around mid-month; was that when your problem started? There's another thread (which I'm too lazy to find right now) about old/outdated browsers choking on the updated site, and one possible aspect of that is that there has been a change to the part of the code that checks how your browser identifies itself. From your report, it seems highly possible to me that the update also tightened the location check, and that's why it's no longer willing to allow you access.

I think you need to look into VPNs.

@Renold Letchman Regrettably, while residing there, accessing your Family Tree will not be possible. However, please note that your tree remains intact and accessible elsewhere.
