guided tour of indexing uses a draft card for example

index person's name , birth date & place; and index the other person they listed that would have their address; but isn't their employer usually indexed also ?

    If they were employed, yes. One of my grandfathers was unemployed at the time of his registration and it was left blank.

    No, we don't create another entry for the name of the employer, or anyone else on the card. You simply fill out the information that is required for the individual.

    Every project is different and comes with its own set of project instructions. When a project requests that we add an "Other" it will state that and there would be a special entry form for an "Other".

    I believe that we may have indexed their next of kin on the WWII cards, if it was stated that they were the wife, mother, father, etc. But, there would have been a field on the primary's entry form asking for that (next of kin or contact) information.
