Brick Wall for Caroline Hansdatter Evenson
Good afternoon,
Looking specifically for Caroline Hansdatter Evenson (M9V4-PWD), of whom I lost track after the 1900 US Federal Census, when she likely moved out of the Residence between 1900 and 1905, following the death of her father Hans Evensen Marigaard (M6CG-7NH). Her mother Marthe Martinsdatter (L5Y6-W88) died 7 in 1880. Her stepmother Marit Jonasdatter (M9V4-PH3) lived in 1910 with Caroline's brother Edwin and Caroline's half-sister Anne Mathilde Evenson who was married to Ole Johansen Follingstad.
Birth: 6 Jul 1876 in Rothsay, Otter Tail, Minnesota, USA
Baptism: 3 Sep 1876 in Rothsay, Otter Tail, Minnesota, USA
1880 US Federal Census: Caroline Evenson (3) Norwegian Grove, Otter Tail, Minnesota, USA
31 Aug 1890 Confirmation: Karoline Hanson
1900 US Federal Census: Caroline Evenson (23) Norwegian Grove, Otter Tail, Minnesota, USA
6 Mar 1902: Hans' death in Norwegian Grove, Otter Tail, Minnesota, USA
1917/1918 Military Registration Card of Caroline's Brother Edwin Martin Hanson (M9V4-P75) lists Caroline H Evenson in Billings, Montana, USA as the nearest relative.

I saw the conversation on Reddit with Fredas and that she had added the source for the 1920 census in Billings. My only recommendation is to keep chipping away and asking questions. Some one will be able suggest something that you may not have thought of.
Check the find a grave or billion graves in Billings for a death record.
Keep a research log so you know what you have looked at and stay organized.
Happy hunting.
