Incorrectly saved male as wife and female as husband

Received Family Search Hints. My family but Information was incorrectly attributed.

eg Marriage. Another person accepted but as a male but female name and details.

What can be done to correct so it appears with male's name as husband and not the female who is the wife. Or must I ignore it. Thanks

    Depends on the specifics: some indexes are correctable, some are not, and even within a correctable index, it may only apply to some fields and not others.

    If the index has the sexes wrong and they're not correctable, but it has the names and relationships otherwise correct, then I would simply use Source Linker to link up the index with the Tree by name, ignoring the indexed sex. It kind of sounds like this is what the other user already did.

    If the index has been connected to the Tree by indexed sex and role rather than correctly by name, then you can use Source Linker to remove those connections and add the ones that are correct by name.
