Here is a link that will show you how to upload the GEDCOM File.

Remember that what you upload goes into the Pedigree Resource File and that you will need to copy the information you want moved to the FamilySearch Family Tree.
After you upload a GEDCOM file to the Pedigree Resource File, you can copy the information into Family Tree. When you copy this information, however, you could inadvertently create duplicate records. You could also add information to Family Tree that is incorrect, or erase information another user contributed. Rather than copy all the information into Family Tree at once, please consider transferring the information manually, entering only the dates and facts that you know are correct.
Read carefully the 5 steps so you do not create duplicate records in the Family Tree.
Good Luck.
Tell us if you have success.

No luck.. I followed the directions you provided, but my tree is the same. Today I was looking at my grandfather and added a source document that Family Search found. Now I have a different tree showing my grandfathers side of the family only. I'm so lost....
I can see individual people on there page and that information appears correct, but the tree view isn't putting it together. Any help is appreciated.

You may want to locate a Family History Center near you and go there so you can find someone familiar with this process and have that person walk you through it.
I do have a presentation on the topic with English text but Norwegian illustrations that might help but I have not narrated it in English, just in Norwegian. I'll see if I can get some time today to do an English narration and post it, and put a link to it here.

The narration is kind of rough since I wanted to get up posted here for you today. Here it is: https://youtu.be/oy33IPRKhhw
You will see that GEDCOMs are not much of a short cut and take just as much work as just entering your family one at a time into Family Tree.
