"No results found" when ancestor ID entered
I'm helping a friend check why some family details have disappeared from FamilySearch. She has an FOR from which cards were printed 15 Aug 2012. Anthony Joseph Nearmy, LZ8S-D8Q was on the list with his parents, his wife and her parents, and they are all on FamilySearch EXCEPT his parents. I understand that all sorts of things can happen because of merges, but no changes for this period show. Anthony's parents and IDs are Assad Nearmy, LZ8S-83V and Mary Bealta, LZ8S-8LN, but searching with these IDs produces no results. Is there any way of checking what happened to these details?

Where was Assad from? Could he and his wife have been marked confidential? There is certainly no sign of them in Anthony's change log. People marked confidential are treated like living people in that all evidence of them are hidden in Family Tree except from the people who originally entered them into Family Tree. If that was not your friend, then your friend would not be able to see them. The marking could have happened after the FOR was printed.

Assad, and probably his wife, was born in Lebanon, but was a Christian. I understand that people from some areas are marked confidential, but I can see others of the family who are born in Lebanon, even though I'm not related.

From what other's have said in various posts here, it seems the confidential marked in applied a little erratically at times.

Thank you for your comments. I guess the confidential status must be the reason for the parents not showing.
