I am doing a search of my ancestors who are from Guyana. I have started a tree and have not gotten any hints whatsoever. This seems unusual. Is anyone in the Family Search community experiencing something similar?

FamilySearch can only offer records if the record holder (Guyana) allows FS to microfilm or, now, digitally photograph the records. The Guyana/British Guiana Genealogical Society offers some background.

You could look at the FIBIS Fibiwiki page West Indies

    https://wiki.fibis.org/w/West_Indies

Depending on your period of interest, there may be sources additional to that given by Áine, such as a Findmypast/BNA (pay websites) database for Official Gazette of British Guiana 1893-1919, some of which are also available online for free at the Internet Archive (Archive.org)

There are also some online British Guiana Blue Books 1913-1936 broken range which could be helpful if you are researching a Civil Servant (anyone who worked for the Government).
