    From the Field Help:

Do not index street names, addresses, hospitals, or localities smaller than a city.

I'd be interested to know if the Do not index street names, addresses, hospitals, or localities smaller than a city instruction is attached to this particular batch, or is part of the generic PIs.

If the former, the terminology is probably a poor choice, as the term "city" is applied much more specifically in Ireland (and the United Kingdom) than in the United States and perhaps other countries.

If this instruction is a general one, I assume it must have been added quite recently, as I view many, many FamilySearch records that have been indexed with two places of Residence: a street name (like High Street or King Street) and the name of the village / town / city, too.

I would be very pleased to hear that PIs no longer suggest indexing street names as, at a later stage, they are going to end-up on Details pages in Family Tree - all with a "Non standardized place" data error warning!
