When is shows the name of a deceased spouse and the name of the living spouse.

Is there a way to add the deceased spouse?

Depends on the specific indexing project. I believe the default/fallback is to index only the current or most recent spouse; most projects are not structured for adding multiple spouses.

You would only index the latest or current spouse. The researcher will be able to see both names on the document.
