GenealogyBank
When we are searching for records, please give us the option of NOT including results affiliated with that site. It is terrible that we have to weed through that while trying to do our research. It is time consuming and very irritating. If the site actually had the information we needed, that would be one thing, but they are a for profit site that doesn't have 1/16th of the information we are trying for in our research. I have been diligently using your site for quite some time and I have 156,760 contributions to my credit for all the time and effort i have put in to this. I can not do that with weeding through GenealogyBank results.

Are you sure you are talking about the FamilySearch search feature?

I'll echo Gail's query, while noting that yes, FS's general records search does occasionally turn up the machine-indexed GenealogyBank obituaries, but it's pretty simple to avoid them with collection-specific searches (or filtering in general). Given the current (sorry) state of placename fields in FS's indexed records databases, I'm forced to do collection- or film-based searches anyway, so it's only the hinting system that bugs me with the obituaries.

I find GenealogyBank obituaries and news articles extremely helpful in the geographical areas I research. Some of the newspapers contracted with GBank are not available elsewhere.

On the search results page, one can click on the "collection" button near the top of the page and select which source collections to include. However, in order to exclude only one collection from the list, one has to check all the other collections one wishes to include, which can be tens or perhaps even hundreds of clicks.
Making the original question more general, it would be nice to be able to click "select all" collections (which can currently be done), but then be able to un-check one or more individual collections to exclude those (which cannot currently be done). This would make the filtering of collections more flexible, and would address the OP's gripe.
