ID NUMBER WILL NOT ENTER
My maternal grandfather has the ID number
2:2:3PPV-CTP.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:3PPV-CTP
Monroe Joseph Gosa
I wanted to use the ID number to add him as the father of my mother in an existing tree.
Adeen GOSA Owens
GL1L-6JB
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/GL1L-6JB
But copying that ID # from the clipboard yields: 223P-PV. I tried typing it in but the ID NUMBER BOX would not accept a colon.
Then it occurred to me to use Adeen's ID # to add her as a child of Monroe. But on his "person page" I do NOT see that option. And for that matter I also do NOT see an option to add a burial place.
AND while I am at it: Does MY profile has an ID number which I can use to add myself as a child of my parents???
AND is it easier to navigate on the APP as compared with the website??? Sometimes I want to go back to something I have used recently and it takes a while to find it.
As you may have surmised I am new to actually doing stuff on Family Search.
THANK YOU.

The ID you gave for Monroe is from Pedigree Resource File. But the ID for Adeen is from Family Tree. Those are two separate systems, and you can't use an ID from one system on the other.
If you want to add Monroe as a father to Adeen in Family Tree, just use the option to add a parent and then manually enter the details that you see for him in PRF (assuming you have good reason to believe those details are accurate). After you add him, you will see options for adding more details, such as his burial place.

To answer some other questions you asked:
Yes, you have an ID for yourself that you can use to add yourself as a child to your parents. You can find that ID on various ways. One way that is always available is using the Recent option on the Family Tree menu. You will always be the first person on that list, and your ID will be shown by your name.
As for using the Family Tree app, that's a matter of personal preference. Some people prefer the app's user interface over the website, and others prefer the website. You'll be looking at the same Family Tree either way.
