the obit I got is on 2 pages. My batch contains only the first page. Without the second page, it’s not really possible to determine what some of the information on the first page means.

in the (way back) past on SOME indexing projects, you indexed information from the second page if it connected.

Any suggestions or guidance? Thanks,

From the general guidelines we read:

    • If the last record on an image continues to the next image, index the entire record, including what continues to the next image.
    • To see the next image while continuing to index information for the current image, do the following:

    1. In the top corner of the image window, in the vertical toolbar, click the Reference Images

     icon.

    2. Below the screen on the right, click a thumbnail next to the image you are currently indexing.

    3. Index the record while viewing both images at the same time.

    4. To exit split screen mode, in the vertical toolbar, click the Reference Images

     icon.

Please make sure this goes along with the instructions for your project.

Thanks, I did read that. I interpreted it to mean that to mean if I had a second image to combine the two. I guess I didn’t read it carefully enough

    DianeK,

it is not always obvious what some of the instructions mean. It sounds like you are doing fine.🙂

You still follow the old obit indexing guidelines, @DianeK. If your batch has the first part of an obit, then you do include the information from the reference images on your index.

It is always best to share the batch code, or a link to get the best answer.
