I can no longer see the priorly very convenient link to "Find" an ancestor - which included a search field to search for an i.d.number.
I know that, now, an i.d. # can be typed onto the FamilySearch URL, but I hope that I can figure out how to find the convenient Family Search i.d. # search field.

To search for people in the FamilySearch Family Tree, you need to be in the Family Tree menu of FamilySearch. Here you will see the Find option. https://www.familysearch.org/search/tree/id
You can search by ID or by the person's name.

How about adding a simple/findable link to the family tree? I don't see one.

TorcoClownes The findable link to the family tree is available after you've signed in. You'll find it in the top right of your screen right under your sign in name. It will say: 'Go to Detail Person Page'. This will take you to the family tree for this person.

A lot of these family histories go back to the 12th Century. How can you be sure they are accurate. Im looking at one now where the source is Wikipedia

Family Search is only as good as the information we put into the tree. The only way to be certain the information is correct is to find vital records to substantiate your information. If you are looking at information other's have put into the tree, make sure there are vital records attached such as official birth, marriage and death records. So, if you suspect the information to be incorrect, or don't see any documents supporting the information, you will need to do your own research and find sources to substantiate your dates and information and possibly correct your tree, if needed.

Who has written the stories? There are two sources attached for death location and the story has it another state. How can the story be corrected?

@Kathleen Reilly_3 We are looking into the death locations to correct them.

The World History timeline for Hannah Heaton of Greene County Pennsylvania states that "Pennsylvania was always against Slavery". This is NOT CORRECT and is some revisionist history - maybe is AI developed? I cannot find any mention of this on Hannah Heaton's person page so it is NOT something contributed to her tree. This needs to be fixed now. Here is the link to the page. https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LZ2C-SF5/hannah-heaton-1778-1850?fbclid=IwY2xjawH6cMdleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHemgDXwX5bAg8QG2k1EeW9Rh54eEVoZmNaVezsMWBQT9KoDZjshJ-lqqLw_aem_3i6tNcWU95Io8OH2-jTrpQ

Well, I was going to add a comment about Christopher Maier/Moyer/Moyers's daughter Mary Magdalena Moyer, who, about 1765, had a daughter Jemima by Col. Benjamin Cleveland b. 28 May 1738. Jemima m. James Wyly (1762-1850). Their son James Rutherford Wyly (1782-1855) is well known in NE Georgia history. But I am not going to spend my time digging out and adding my sources. I thoroughly agree with the importance of documenting sources, but by making it time-consuming for people like me to make comments, you and your partner Ancestry deprive users of clues that users can have the pleasure of documenting for themselves. Perhaps they can do so by subscribing to Ancestry, but in many cases not. FindAGrave, to which I used to make corrections, has also made commenting, and even adding or correcting family tree info, impossible or difficult. I wish you and Ancestry would allow posting of comments without documentation, with a caveat that the comment was submitted without documentation and is therefore questionable. An asterisk could alert or link users to such comments. Now that I am aware of the new policy I won't be trying to post my info.
