Step children listed on death certificate

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but I'm a stickler for details and want to get it right. I'm reviewing a South African death certificate. I'm using Google lens to make sure I can understand the ones in Afrikaans. The indexer listed two children, but I translated a note above that says she had no children of her own, only two step daughters. Should they be indexed as her children or not? Thanks!

I've never seen indexing instructions that distinguished between types of parental relationships, so I would say that if the record lists them as any kind of daughters, and the project instructions indicate that this person's children should be indexed, then yes, the step-daughters should be indexed. But it really does depend on the specific project's specific instructions.
