What is the correct age for 1860 Census that has 4/30 in the age column for a name?

    Perhaps the enumerator wrote the date of birth (4/30 = April 30) instead of the month of birth or just 0. It would help if you included a link to the record.

    Thank you John. I will look at that. I know you use 0 for the 2/12, fraction, etc. I just hadn't seen one with 4/30 or 8/30 and so on.

    It is days. 30 represents the number of days in a month. So the babies lived 4 days, 8 days, 15 days, and so on.
