I am reviewing naturalization records. The current record has two images: Declaration of Intention and Petition for Citizenship. On the first record, the wife is listed as "Edith". On the second she is listed as "Eidth". The indexer simply listed "Eidth" on the second image. I thought I had read somewhere that is the name is spelled more than one way in a record, you could list it as "Edith or Eidth", but I can't find where I read that. Can anyone provide guidance?
