Locating trees based on username

Are you sure you're asking about FamilySearch's collaborative Family Tree? There are no tree owners here. It's all one open-edit tree.
If you're asking whether there's a way to search for another user's contributions, then I believe the answer is "no" -- for privacy reasons, if nothing else. If a direct message to the user did not get a response, then I think the best you can do is to search for memories tagged or labeled with names or places from your family.

@SusanRobinson51 if you click on the name of the submitter, it should open up a chat box and you can send a message :)

Rhonda, Susan said she had already tried that with no reply.

If relationship viewing has been enabled by you and the user you are interested in, you can click on the user's name which will bring up a dialog box that includes a link to view your relationship to them, if it exists. From there, you can click on the names of their parents and choose to view the tree starting from there. Not exactly what you're looking for, probably, but it should be close.
