Please review the image, as I believe it was uploaded by mistake. I messaged the individual who uploaded it to ask how the image was related to this woman, Ane Kirstine Andersen and have not received a response. Please advise. Thank you.

    If you have tried contacting the person who uploaded and had no reply, you can detach it. You cannot delete it; only the person who uploaded it can do that. But, if you detach it from LYP6-JZP it will no longer show on her profile.

    I was trying to see if there was some way to have the image removed from FamilySearch altogether because if I detach it from Family Tree, it will still be in FamilySearch, but I would no longer be able to find it. What do you think?

    @Jennifer Jackson

    If you want to be able to find an image, independent of who it is attached to in Family Tree, you just need to save the link to the artifact in your bookmarks, or note-keeping software, or wherever you keep links. To get the link, click on the image to go to the image viewer. Then use the Share option and choose Copy Link. With that link, you'll always be able to find the image, and see who it is currently attached to in Family Tree.

    It doesn't seem like deleting the image altogether is a good choice unless it is not useful for any purpose. Since someone else contributed it, you'd have to have their cooperation in deleting it (unless it clearly violates FamilySearch policies, in which case Support could do that).

    @Alan E. Brown I would say "it is not useful for any purpose." It's 3 images of a modern automotive part attached to a woman who lived before automobiles.

    I clearly wasn't saying anything about who it was attached to. I was just giving general guidance on the issue of deleting images. I certainly agree that it is a stretch to say that that particular image has any useful genealogical purpose.
